Carburetors that require a normal rebuild* are usually finished 24-48 hours after they have been started. Our work load changes daily,drop us a text or email for a time estimate.

1. Remove air cleaner stud, idle solenoid with bracket, all vacuum,fuel lines and caps

2. Drain all gas out of carburetor. If any gas is present, shipper will not ship.

3. Place carburetor in zip lock bag or equivalent and seal tightly! If a gas smell is present, shipper will not ship!

4. Write down all contact info, name,shipping address etc. and any comments. Any packages sent without info will slow the rebuilding process.

5. Place carburetor with all required info in a strong box with plenty of packing  and enough room around carburetor to prevent damage.

6. Mail to Old Auto Restorations. We use UPS or Fed Ex as shippers because they are easily tracked. USPS takes twice as long and is not easily tracked.

If you need a base gasket you must include old gasket or a tracing of it. Heat insulator gasket, metal shims, metal impregnated gaskets or special order gaskets are extra if available.

*normal rebuild is a carburetor that does not need any extra machine work such as worn or frozen shafts or parts. Stripped bolts or fuel inlet nut, missing or damaged parts, excessive rust, corrosion, body repairs, missing or bad chock pulloff or chock thermostats. A carburetor that is extremley rare or a carburetor  that requires custom made parts or special order parts will take longer for us to complete.
